Every Monday morning, I get coffee with my co-worker. She's in her mid 30's, loves Burning Man and dyes her hair black and bright pink. We exchange stories about our weekends and shoot the shit. Today, I showed her my sic new tat and she described to me her costume for the "Super Hero Festival."
"It was all pink vinyl and I wore pink and white striped fabric mask. My friend gave me a stuffed animal pink poodle that was on a pink leash. It had on a matching mask-the kids loved it. Especially the little girls! I made it hump everyone. Too much fun."
Huh. We continue to coffee.
In line, I see two dudes wearing matching TOOL shirts. Furreal? Why are two grown men wearing the same thing? Usually that type of behavior is reserved for high school girls but these guys are really going for it--matching shirts, matching goatees, matching Old Navy jeans.
When I asked why they were wearing matching shirts, they said they had been following the tour and just flew up from San Diego to see the show tonight.
Then they high fived.
Then they loudly began to talk about having to wait at the Warehouse (are these places still around?) early (GET THIS, at 9:50 a.m.!) to get the tickets for the SF show but they had to ebay for the other West Coast dates.
Ugh. GET OUT.
